1971 Kasuga G100 Classical Guitar – Made in Japan – Vintage Nylon String

$399.00

This is a vintage Kasuga G100 classical guitar, built in Japan in 1971 by Kasuga Gakki. Kasuga was one of the major Japanese builders during the late ’60s and ’70s, producing well-made classical guitars that have held up extremely well over time.

This example features a solid spruce top with laminated mahogany back and sides, a comfortable traditional classical neck profile, and original hardware throughout. It has a warm, open tone with good clarity and volume, and it responds nicely to both fingerstyle and light strumming.

The guitar shows honest cosmetic wear consistent with age, including light surface marks and finish wear, but no structural cracks. Internally everything looks solid. The violin-style Stradivarius label that was previously present has been removed; the remaining original Kasuga factory label is intact and visible, confirming the maker, model, and year.

This is a great option for someone looking for a real vintage Japanese classical — not a modern reissue — with character, history, and solid playability.

The bridge is slightly lifted on one side as seen in the photos, but it seems to be totally solid and doing it’s job.
