Fender MIJ Stratocaster Neck (1989–1990 FujiGen) on Parts Body – Gotoh Tuners
This is a Fender Made in Japan Stratocaster neck from the late 80s (I-series serial, FujiGen production 1989–1990) mounted to a non-original body with aftermarket electronics.
The neck is authentic MIJ Fender and is the real highlight here. It features the original spaghetti logo, Made in Japan marking, and vintage-style Gotoh tuners. The heel has the correct factory ink stamps and inspection markings consistent with late 80s FujiGen production. The neck feels great and plays well.
The body is not original Fender. Routing and finish do not match typical FujiGen construction from this era, and the neck pocket markings appear to be ink transfer from the neck rather than a factory body stamp. The loaded pickguard and electronics are also aftermarket (import-style switch and pots).
This is essentially a high-quality MIJ Fender neck built onto a parts Strat body. It makes a solid player and a great platform for upgrades, or it could be parted out if someone wanted the neck for a project.
Condition:
Player grade overall. Cosmetic wear on the body. Neck is in good shape with normal age wear. Electronics function as they should.
If you’re looking for a killer Japanese Fender neck without paying full MIJ Strat prices, this is a great option.
