This is a vintage Suzuki Taishogoto, made in Japan and complete with its original hard case. The taishogoto is a traditional Japanese keyed string instrument — often described as a hybrid of lap steel, autoharp, and keyboard — and this example is the electric version, designed for amplification and studio or stage use.
